Pastors Stipends (Salary/Remuneration) Guide
The BUV has released the following document, "Guidelines for Churches and Pastors: Stipends, Conditions & Statements of Understanding" to assist with the appointment of pastoral staff and provides useful guidelines for the church/pastor employer/employee relationship. This document also contains the rules of the LSL Fund.
The guidelines have been updated to include a family policy that includes details of recommended maternity and paternity leave.
The BUV recomended stipend and benefits rate is available below.
The change to a calendar year will affect the timing of the stipend recommendation. Recommendations are now made for a calendar year.
The LSL levy for 2008 will be $961 per full time pastor.
