The Church Development Fund

The Church Development Fund of the Baptist Union of Victoria provides Community Ministry Grants (max $500) and Small Church Grants (Max $2000) for the following purposes.

1.      To assume the purposes of the Church Strengthening Reserve i.e. to assist Churches in Partnership with the Union by the supplementing of their Pastor's stipend.
2.      To provide initial funding for approved strategic Church Planting opportunities.
3.      To provide funding outside of the current 'Partnership' arrangements for Churches considered as Church Re-plants.
4.      To provide financial assistance for churches in staging community events. To be made prior to Christmas and Easter.
5.      To assist smaller churches with small grants that would otherwise need to wait for the next Assembly.

Grant Applications are accepted twice per year. Application cut off dates are the end of February and the end of October for assessment and administration in March and November.  Please see the relevant guidelines to ensure that your church is eligible before applying.
