Services and resources available

We offer to the churches of the BUV:

Consultancy and Network – helping churches understand multicultural issues more deeply as they work to integrate people from different cultural groups.
Resettlement and advocacy support – assisting churches practically to engage in assisting asylum seekers and refugees. This work involves advocacy on behalf of refugees and asylum seekers as well as networking with support groups and churches.

The BUV engages in Multicultural Ministry by offering a variety of intentional programs including:
• An annual Multicultural Conference for leaders and pastors
• Multicultural Night Celebration Services
• The Trans-Formation course provides theological education for pastors and lay people from a non-English speaking background.
• Consultancy services to churches seeking to become multicultural.
• Support for migrant ethnic congregations and their pastors.
• Resettlement and advocacy services assisting churches practically to engage in assisting asylum seekers and refugees.
• Refugee Airfare Loan Scheme (RALS)
