Vasti van Wyk, PA for Head of Church Health and Capacity Building
Vasti (pronounced 'Fusty') was born and raised in South Africa and immigrated to Melbourne in 2001 as a 17 year old. She is married with two fuzzy 'children', a Keeshond dog and a minilop bunny. Vasti studied Design & Graphic Arts and was always covered in paint, charcoal or ink growing up. Her ministry dreams sprouted while studying Year in the Son in '04. She has a passion for working with marginalised youth, which led her to serve as a live-in volunteer Lead Tenant, and later in a volunteer and paid role as Housing Worker for Youth For Christ, working with homeless at-risk young people. To be more equipped, she started a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Youth Work and Counselling at Tabor College and hopes to finish her degree in the near future. She enjoys living a healthy lifestyle, eating clean, working out, camping and mountain biking. Vasti also works at the BUV in another half time role as Communications Support as part of the Communications Team and previously worked as Admin Assistant for Specialist Ministries. She looks forward to empowering Church leaders in their ministry, so that they can be effective in mission.
