Loans & GrantsThe Baptist Union of Victoria has the following funds which are able to assist Churches with loans or grants.Advancement FundThe Advancement Fund The Advancement Fund of the Baptist Union of Victoria was established to assist Churches with Loans and Grants for the following purposes: 1. Acquiring freehold land for the purpose of erecting a church complex 2. Erection of a church complex 3. Extensions to an existing church complex 4. Purchase of a residence for the use of a member of the pastoral team 5. Purchase of other properties, as approved by the Executive Council of the Baptist Union of Victoria, to be used for church related or sponsored activities 6. The provision of temporary financial support to churches in need of support.
The Advancement Fund Church Development FundThe Church Development Fund The Church Development Fund of the Baptist Union of Victoria provides Community Ministry Grants (max $500) and Small Church Grants (Max $2000) for the following purposes. 1. To provide financial assistance for churches in staging community events. To be made prior to Christmas and Easter. Grant Applications are accepted twice per year. Application cut off dates are the end of February and the end of October for assessment and administration in March and November. Mark Pollard Fund The Mark Pollard Fund of the Baptist Union of Victoria is able to make interest free loans to Churches to purchase capital equipment such as sound systems, photocopiers etc and to do maintenance work on church buildings.
The Norm McLennan Fund makes available grants to assist Churches with the costs of property projects pertaining to building code compliance. This Fund also makes available grants of up to $500 to assist churches of 100 members or less with the costs associated with rebranding with the new BUV logo. |
