Tita COOK
A gifted and passionate speaker with women’s ministry and public speaking/teaching experience both in Australia and internationally. Tita Cook’s calling is to equip and empower people to discover the richness of a dynamic Christian lifestyle and then put into practice relevant principles into everyday life. Born in Mexico, Tita has a wide experience in practical ministry in a number of countries, cultures and languages is well grounded in real life issues and experiences. She is married with 2 adolescent boys.

Diana DOW
Diana trained as a librarian in England and migrated to Williamstown in 1974. there she met and married her husband, adopting an 11 year old son in ’86, bringing daily opportunities to prove the Lord’s faithfulness. Currently Diana serves as a part-time pastor of a Missional Baptist Church, she offers prayer counseling and teaches Kingdom living. Her long involvement with Know Your Bible (CWCI) continues as a speaker and teacher. Diana believes that it is the Word of God that transforms lives and the Truth which sets people free. Her pastimes include reading and walking.

Ann HARDING
Ann came to Melbourne 7 years ago from the UK. She has served as an Associate Pastor of a Church plant, been the Outreach Coordinator for the Victorian Baptist Women, has initiated and led women’s ministries in the local church, including Crossway Baptist Church, and is currently establishing her Personal Life coaching practice. Ann is an inspirational speaker, bringing encouragement and hope to women through her own life experiences and led by her passionate desire to see every woman equipped, empowered and released into their God-given potential. Her topics include Marriage, Depression and the Christian, Building a Ministry for women and topics relating to hurts & healing.

Heather JACKSON
Heather is passionate about helping women know the Bible, so that they can think Biblically about their circumstances and experiences. She has a broad involvement with CWCI Aust. As a Bible Study leader, speaker and writer and has also spoken at Belgrave heights Women’s convention, MOPS and local church events. She presents a weekly inspirational program on her local Christian radio station. Heather is married with two daughters and is currently employed as an Archivist and involved in the Ballarat North Baptist Church.

Jo JARLETT
Jo has been ministering in Baptist churches for the past 15 years, being employed as a Pastor and as a Children’ and Families Pastor. Her involvement with women’s work has spanned more than 20 years where she actively seeks to mentor and disciple women in their Christian faith. Jo is currently the State Leader for the Victorian Baptist Women and the incoming President of Australian Baptist Women. She is currently studying for a Diploma of Ministry and writing material to enable women in the local church context to identify and mentor emerging leaders. Jo shares from her personal story of a difficult childhood and adolescence and the transforming power of Jesus in her life.

Yvonne LINDNER
Yvonne is a pastor and mother of two with a passion for seeing churches connect with their local community. Yvonne became a Christian as a teenager and her testimony is a story of God creating a new identity and is a challenge about owning your past. Yvonne completed a Bachelor of Ministry and has worked as a Youth Pastor. Having spent 6 years working at the BUV Yvonne has a good understanding of what God is doing in our churches. Yvonne is a passionate speaker and teacher, loves facilitating discussions and is currently the President of the BUV.

Gwyn MILNE
A Christian since 16 years, Gwyn is a trained teacher, has been a Pastor for 15 years and is currently Associate Pastor/Pastoral Care & Life Groups at Bendigo Baptist. Gwyn has been the Former President of the BUV, Former President of Baptist Union of Australia, member of Advisory Board with the BUV and Member of the Board of Baptist World Aid Australia so she widely connected to the Baptist family. She is a gifted speaker and workshop facilitator speaking on the role of women in the church, pastoral care, mentoring, grief, family, marriage and parenting conflict resolution. Gwyn is married with 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren and her hobbies include reading, hospitality, outdoors, music, knitting and sewing.

Karen NEWNHAM
Married with 3 children and 8 grandchildren, Karen joined Global Interaction in 1982. She served in Bangladesh ‘82-’86, Malawi ’92-95 and taught at Likubula Bible College and studied at University South Africa. Karen returned to Australia in ’95 studying at Whitley Theological College, was Ordained and became Pastor for small groups, women and prayer at Boronia Baptist Church. Since then, Karen has been a team leader for Global Interaction for missions to China & Kazakhstan. In 2003 she became the Director Human Resources for Global Interaction, responsible for candidates, training and human resources for all staff. Her speaking topics include Mission, Spirituality/Spiritual life and loves to share her journey.

Julia POPE
Julia came to Jesus as a 21 year old and had previously been involved in New Age practices and the occult. Now married to an Olympic swimming coach with two boys, Julia has been involved in outreach ministry for 5 years in one of Victoria’s larger Baptist churches heading up a ministry team that sought to reach New Age people at a large festival in Melbourne. Her passion is to engage with people in a relevant way about the love Jesus has for them and to help followers of Jesus engage with not yet Christians in genuine ways. Julia loves creative arts like music and drama and enjoys watching cartoons with her boys especially Sponge Bob!

Heather PACKETT
Heather is a Pastor in the Creative Department at Crossway. She is also a wife and mother of two. Heather's passion is to see God's people released into their full potential in God and to understand other people better, to bring about satisfaction in relationships and their life. Beth BARNETT
Beth is currently the Children's and Families facilitator for the Baptist Union of Victoria. For many years she has been a passionate champion of opening the Bible in the ways of Jesus as the foundation of inclusive, creativeand adventurous worship and mission. From a background of music and education, Beth has trained and resourced those who serve children and families for the past 2 decades. She loves to engage in the godly art of risk taking and to encourage others in doing the same - in their families, in their worship, in their mission and in their personal healing.

Rev Roslyn H WRIGHT
Prior to Theological studies, Roslyn worked in several areas; primary education, adult employment training, industrial chaplaincy, and spirituality. She was a founding member at North Carlton and Church of the Pilgrim, before being called to pastoral leadership at Rosanna Baptist Church. In 1994, Roslyn began studies in spirituality at the heart of Life Spirituality Centre, later joining their staff as supervisor, spiritual director and course facilitator. Ordained in 2006, she has commenced a PhD. Currently Director of Field Education at Whitley College, her BUV involvments include membership of the Ordination Pathways Group, and chairing the Women in Leadership Taskforce. Roslyn is married to Patrick and between them they have four adult children.

Barb SCHUMANN
Barb is married with 2 children, and is the women's Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church (Blackburn North) and has been in this role for 5 years. "I love gathering wth friends for coffee and cake and have a terrible reputation as a chocoholic! I love going to the beach to recharge my batteries! I am passionate about gathering women of all ages together and creating a place where they can be equipped in God's Word and be inspired and to live out their faith to their full potential.

Karen WILSON (interstate speaker)
Karen is maried with 2 adult children. She has been the Co Senior Pastor at Whitford Church WA, along with her husband Mark, for seventeen years and is currently the Western Australian Baptist Women State Leader. In 2007, she left local church ministry to work full-time for Willow Creek Association where she currently holds the position of Executive Director for the Global Leadership Summit in Australiasia. Karen has a passion for seeing men and women released in their gifting. Her work involves connecting people across cultures and generations and she is passionate about personal growth and inspiring this in others.

Louisa RAGGATT (Early Childhood)
Currently the BUV Early Childhood Families Facilitator, she is passionate in assisting Playgroup leaders and leadership teams to learn about what evangelism looks like in their specific context and provide appropriate training. Louise loves seeing churches partnering with their playgroups to offer safe and effective avenues for community families to "bridge the gap" between playgroup and Jesus. Louisa is married with a thirteen month old daughter who loves 'reading' her rhyme Bible and Rainbow book of prayers.

Kim MIATKE
Kim is a counselor, wife, mother of three children and head of Hertime women’s ministry at Heathmont Baptist Church. 10 years of journeying with people in the counseling room, 6 years ministering with Youth Dimension and 4 years of leading Hertime have given Kim a broad range of opportunities, challenges and perspectives that she loves to share.
Kim speaks into women’s lives in a gentle and powerful way, encouraging women to explore biblically and practically through teaching and personal testimony on what it means to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus.

Bernadette BLACK (Tasmania)
Bernadette is no stranger to adversity.
