Each year during the month of November, Baptist women all around the world are encouraged to join together to pray specifically for a determined Continental Union.
A prayer program is prepared and you are encouraged to organize a prayer breakfast, prayer dinner or day event and gather your women to pray and come alongside Baptist women and their ministries around the world. If you live in Victoria you can obtain your program from

FREESET INDIA PROJECT
The Australian Baptist Women choose a 2 year project that advocates and assists women and children.
For 2010/11 we encourage all Baptist women groups to consider supporting Freeset India.
Millions of human beings are trafficked each year – stolen from their homes, sold by their families, left powerless by poverty. Freeset combats the effects of trafficking by offering a choice to women who were sold into the sex trade. Freeset believe unequivocally that women, men and children are not objects to be bought and sold, but human beings with the right to be free.
How your women’s group can get involved in Freeset:
- Share the Freeset Ministry to your women’s group
- Show the Freeset DVD
- Educate your women on the issues surrounding sex trafficking
- Buy and sell Freeset Products
- Support the Freeset Trust
When you participate in the Annual State Women’s EMBRACE Conference in Victoria, you will hear first hand about Freeset and be able to help directly.

The Mission arm of the Baptist Women’s Department is the Baptist Women’s Union (BWU).
The Baptist Women’s Union is divided across the world into 7 Continental unions and Australia belongs to the South West Pacific Continental Union (BWUSWP) along with New Zealand, Fiji, Papua and Irian.
We belong to a large family of Baptist women and support each other through prayer, finances and friendships. All over the world there are many of our sisters who are persecuted because of their faith, undervalued because they are women, or do not have the financial means to be resourced for ministry.
We want to partner with Baptist Women across the world and connect with them for support and strength.
