Delegates will be asked to vote on the following motions: (This first motion is the usual motion that delegates vote on each year to increase pastor’s stipends)Resolution: The Assembly of the Baptist Union of Victoria approve the Pastors Stipend recommendation (manse and no manse provided) increase inline with CPI and Average Weekly Earnings by 3.8% on the 1 January 2011. (The second and third motions are specific to adopting the new guidelines)Resolution: The Assembly of the Baptist Union of Victoria approve an additional stipend increase to pastors not provided with a manse. The increase will provide them with additional exempt benefits (from pastors provided a manse) equivalent to the medial rental. The increase will be over and above CPI/AWE and introduced over a 5 year period. It is anticipated that the increase to total stipend will be approximately [0.5% - 1.5% per year] depending on movements in median rental over the 5 years. Resolution: The Assembly of the Baptist Union of Victoria adopts the “Guidelines for Healthy Church/Pastor Relationships”.
