Newsglance: BUV on board with SURRENDER:10

The Baptist Union of Victoria are pleased to announce their Sponsoring Partnership with the upcoming SURRENDER Conference on March 5-8, 2010.

As the largest gathering of it kind focusing on lived-out discipleship, neighbourhood mission and social justice, the SURRENDER:10 Conference is all about becoming the ‘change’ we want to see in the world.

SURRENDER:10 will inspire and encourage us to become ‘Kingdom agents of change’ through sessions and workshops on topics such as Neighbourhood Mission, Partnering with Indigenous Ministries, Christian Community Development, Spiritual Disciplines for the Journey, Ethical Living & Sustainability, Overseas Mission & Development, Pioneering New Missional Communities, Restorative Justice and more.

SURRENDER:10 speakers include Bart Campolo (USA), Rudo Kwaramba (World Vision Uganda), Claudio Oliver (Brazil), David Ruis (Canada), Dave Andrews, Danielle Strickland, Billy Williams, Mark Sayers, John Smith, Aunty Jean Phillips, Ray Minniecon, Milliwanga Sandy, Mick & Jo Duncan, Ann Van Leerdam, Jarrod McKenna and many more.

Along with many other Baptists including Urban Seed, who are one of the Hosting Partners, the BUV will play a significant part at SURRENDER through support from a BUV pastoral team for those attending who want to de-brief in a one of one setting.
