Towards the end of October 2009 a forty-foot container despatched from Melbourne by Foundations World Wide, arrived in the north of Romania.

This container was packed with almost 800 cartons and large bags including a range of items from blankets to bedding, hats to hygiene products, stationary to shoes and socks, toiletries to toys, plus a large range of hospital equipment and medical supplies, walking frames and wheel chairs.  Items ranged from baby clothes to equipment for the frail and elderly.

I greet you in the name of our Lord from northern Romania.

We got the surprise of our lives when two van loads of gifts came to our village. With around 80 children with great needs they were the most beautiful gifts ever received. With the winter approaching (very heavy) Blankets, scarves, beanies, ponchos are heavenly sent.

Most of us have never seen such beautiful and new gifts ever.

My God Bless everyone in the country of Australia who help distribute these gifts to us.

“HEBREWS 6.10”

“FOR GOD IS NOT UNJUST TO FORGET YOUR WORK AND LABOR OF LOVE WHICH YOU HAVE SHOWN TOWARDS HIS NAME, IN THAT YOU HAVE MINISTERED TO THE SAINTS, AND DO MINISTER.”

PASTER: VIOREL from MITOC.

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ to the saints who are all over the beautiful Australia. May God bless all of you that were called to do his work according to his will. A God that has no borders or boundaries. I’ve been called to do His work many years ago and with his help we did as much as we could. But all over the country and especially the northern part of Romania the needs are so great that every day we go on our knees and ask God for more resources to cater for the demands. October 2009 cold and freezing temperatures already with a forecast with another very cold winter approaching with strong Chilling winds coming from Siberia and deep snow covering Northern Romania all we could do was ask God and leave it on His hands.

When your container arrived we looked at it so big like something the people of our village (Slobozia) never seen before. We gathered at our local church and thanked God for the answer to so many prayers. Tears of joy ran down people’s faces freely. But the biggest astonishment was when John Ciui arrived from Australia and the container was opened. Thousands of new beautifully made blankets, rugs, jumpers, hats, scarves, and many other goods were all too much for our minds to comprehend. It was all in Gods magnitude. My thoughts were already going to the elderly ladies that were washing rags to bandage their infected wounds that wouldn’t heal. Thanks to Foundations World Wide many bags of bandages have arrived. Who could not think of a lady that could not go to church for two years because she could not afford a wheelchair or the kids that had to walk to school for 5km without a jacket, beanie or a scarf in very chilly  condition or a blind man covering him-self at night with rags. Thanks to you, their prayer requests have been answered. We won’t be able to change the world but through what God did with the arrival of the container the world of many families have been changed.

Ebenezer(Nursing Home) Gods project for Slobozia have received the much needed goods to start the operation. Thank you for covering the cost of the central heating, this was the biggest obstacle we had. Thanks to Foundations World Wide the residents can live comfortably.

So we want to thank you all who were involved in this wonderful project in the name of everyone that were blessed by your work.

May God bless you all.

Dear brothers and sisters from Australia. We read many times the verse. Ps 25.3 “O MY GOD I TRUST IN YOU. LET ME NOT BE ASHAMED”. But living in a poor Gypsy village of around 1000 families, no roads and no work. The usual weather is around 2°celcius in October, with winter still on its way there are many families with lots of children. Our village is called the kids factory, with 3000 children in it under the age of 14, that is  around 1000 families. With months to come of freezing temperatures no money for fire- wood, food or clothing. Seeing many kids on the streets bear- footed, mothers asking for money for medication, for bread and there are beggars everywhere. There are so many widows unable to look after their own children, telling them to trust the Lord may have a different meaning. God showed our entire village that He still is the only One you can trust. On the 13th of October 2009, three van loads of gifts arrived from Australia. When the first one came we didn’t know what “hit us”. After the delivers left around 1000 people surrounded the local church they almost broke down the doors and windows. It took us a long time to restore order. We had to call only 2-3 families at a time. They were the most beautiful gifts our people have ever seen.

Some thought it was just a dream that will end soon, but in fact was reality. Some were asking how they knew we were here. Full of confidence we answered

“WE TRUST IN THE LORD THE PROVIDER, HE KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE.” There were many tears of joy and their families that gave their lives to Christ.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

How gratefully these Pastors from Romania react to the gifts received from caring and loving people here in Australia.  Surely their spontaneous response to the goodness of the Lord, should touch our hearts with a real sense of gratitude to the Lord for all His goodness.  Perhaps you would prayerfully consider supporting Foundations World Wide to continue this ministry in Eastern Europe.
