Time is running out to register for the Baptist WORLD Congress in Brisbane this July.  Congress organisers are expecting with over 3000 Baptist sisters and brothers from around the world, with 2500 already registered including over 500 from Australia.

It’s going to be a powerful time of worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and service as we gather together from nations around our globe. If you heard Rev Dr Elijah Brown speak at our October Nourish or Members’ Dinner, you will have had a taste of the quality of Congress speakers. In addition to the list of international speakers, we are excited that, in addition to Tim Costello, several Victorian Baptist Pastors are also Congress speakers including Dale Stephenson (Crossway), Brooke Rutherford (Crossway) and Jun Tan (Balwyn Baptist Church).

The opening celebration will be a time of celebration as a global Baptist family. From Thursday, the daily pattern will start with be plenary worship and hearing stories of God at work, followed by smaller Bible Study groups presented in a variety of languages. Each afternoon will include a variety of activities to experience and interact with – Seminars, Affinity Groups, the Preaching Symposium and regional gatherings. The Global Stage will be a must to check out – where musicians, dancers, soloists, and cultural groups will perform. The evenings will be a time to come back together in worship, teaching, and celebration and the closing celebration on Saturday will be a time of commissioning.
