CCLI simplifies copyright by providing comprehensive and cost-effective licences that empower churches and organisations to legally enjoy a wealth of creative works. The range of licences provides copyright peace of mind, while ensuring that copyright owners are fairly paid for the use of their work.
The Baptist Union of Victoria has a “Copyright License Scheme” arrangement with CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International Pty Ltd) that offers Victorian Baptists churches with a discount for their copyright needs.
The “Copyright License Scheme” offers your church the convenience of one annual renewal date for all your CCLI licenses and enables you to take advantage of the bulk purchase discounts on offer by CCLI. It is important to recognise that failure to renew or register for an appropriate license(s), either via the BUV or directly through the CCLI, will result in your church being in breach of current Copyright Legislation.
The following licenses are covered under this scheme
- The Church Copyright License (save 20%) permits churches to project or print out the words and music to the world’s great worship songs and hymns. With this licence, the church is covered for recording services on behalf of those unable to attend in person. Further, the licence permits the creation of custom musical arrangements where no published version exists.
- The Music Reproduction License (save 15%) enables churches to legally photocopy or scan typeset pages from many of the songbooks and music publications commonly used by churches. It also permits you to share sheet music digitally—such as by emailing PDFs to others or by downloading music from a file-sharing app.
- The Church Video License provides the legal cover required to publicly show film scenes during services and full-length films during outreach and social activities.
- SongSelect Premium Licenses is an online resource featuring the lyrics of thousands of songs, sound samples, chord charts, lead sheets (melody line) and vocal sheets (up to 4-part harmony). Included is a music player, to play the music on the lead sheets and hymn sheets, and to transpose the music.
- Church Streaming License provides a solution for churches wishing to stream or webcast their services, including the live worship, via platforms that are otherwise only intended for personal use. This license also includes coverage for the streaming of commercial songs for any special items performed during your church service.
NOTE: Streaming Plus is not included in the annual group renewal order. If your church wishes to purchase this license please contact CCLI directly.

In addition to the above CCLI Licenses, you can also obtain from Heritage Films –
- The Big Studio Movie License (save 15%) which enables you to screen any films from some big producers like Walt Disney, Roadshow Films, Warner Bros, Sony, Icon, Hoyts Distribution, Studio Canal, Hopscotch, E-one, Madman, Rialto, Palace Films, Transmission and Pinnacle Films, which are currently not covered by CCLI Video License.
