Discipleship is the lifelong journey of following Jesus and growing to become more like him. Being and sharing the good news of Jesus with others inevitably flows naturally from a life of spent intentionally following Jesus.
In Baptist churches, because each member has a living relationship with Christ, Baptists believe that each member shares in the ministry of the church; the priesthood of all believers. Discipleship is therefore not just the domain of the Pastor or leader, but every member of the congregation is both a disciple and a potential disciple-maker.
