As a union of Baptist churches, communities of faith, missional organisations and agencies across Victoria, we are united in our belief that prayer has a powerful impact and must accompany and undergird our mission. Prayer is not an afterthought or add-on, but the lifeblood of everything we do. Prayer draws us back to dependence, to intimacy, to the quiet awareness that we are not the centre of the story. Prayer is where hope matures and where affliction becomes communion. It is how our striving gives way to surrender.
Below you will find a range of wonderful resources that we have curated under several headings that we hope you will find helpful. Obviously, prayer is a wide topic and you may use or know of many other resources in addition to the ones we have highlighted. - BUV Prayer Ambassadors: BUV Prayer Ambassadors are pastors and leaders in BUV churches from a variety of churches who are intentionally fostering prayer in their communities and would love to help others churches to do the same. - God Conversations: God Conversations is a global ministry that equips people to hear, recognise and respond to God’s voice through training, resourcing and speaking events. Led by Rev Dr Tania Harris and her team, the ministry serves local churches, ministry organisations and training colleges of all ages and denominations. click here

- Order of the Mustard Seed: The Order of the Mustard Seed is an ecumenical, lay-led, dispersed community, inspired by the original Moravian OMS of the 18th Century. Today’s OMS shares the wider objectives of the 24-7 Prayer movement, to revive the church and to re-wire the culture, through the mobilisation of prayer, mission and justice. click here
BUV Churches Prayer Calendar
We are excited to provide a monthly BUV prayer calendar, which identifies one prayer request for each day of the month. We invite you to join together with other members of our Baptist family in daily prayer for our churches and communities, pastors and leaders, agencies and events as we seek to be flourishing on mission.
Please pray for our BUV communities of faith; local mission activities; pastoral leadership; oversight and identification of emerging leaders; generational ministries and for God’s provision of resources.
