On Saturday 4 July, over 550 young people, pastors and leaders from 30 churches gathered at Victorian Chin Baptist Church for Ignite 2026, a multicultural youth and young adults conference centred on the theme “SHINE: Light That Cannot Be Hidden”
From moving worship led by Victorian Chin Baptist Church and New Vision Baptist Church, and inspiring messages by Rev Joe Kim, to workshops on leadership, identity, belonging and mental wellbeing, Ignite 2026 created space for faith to grow and connections to deepen. One participant commented that, “It was great making new friends and getting out of my comfort zone!”
We were especially blessed by the cultural performances from Melbourne Siyin Burmese Mission Church and Samoan Victory Baptist Church, reminding us of the beautiful and diverse body of Christ to which we belong.
