Some of you may have noticed that we have recently launched our revamped BUV website – its the same URL/web address www.buv.com.au with updated content and a new and different layout. The new layout is based on navigating from the user experience, providing an umbrella understanding of our Baptist Union of Victoria, our Support Hub services and the range of supports and services we provide.
For those of you who are familiar with the previous website, please take some time to learn how and where to find what you need – it will be a fun adventure! All the key information you need is still available, it may be filed a little differently.
Support
Clicking on this tab will take you to a description of different ways the BUV Support Hub equips, empowers and encourages primarily, the pastors and leaders of our Victorian Baptist churches. By clicking on one of the listed areas of support, you will find an overview of this area. For resources related to this area, search the Resources tab.
Prayer & Devotions
Prayer is a priority for our union and undergirds our mission and ministry. Our prayer and devotions tab provides a monthly prayer calendar with prayer for one of churches each day of the month, and as you scroll down, additional prayer resources and devotions are available for download to assist your church in its spiritual engagement.
Resources
All resources are now found on one page and can be searched for using several different criteria.
For example, you may find under the Support area of the website a page on Accreditation – this is a summary of the Accreditation system and support provided. Any resources needed for Accreditation such as forms or templates will be found in the Resources Hub. You can search for resources using various filters – you do not have to fill in all the filter boxes. You can search by any word, by flourishing church segment, by services or by the role you hold. Make sure you clear the filter search (button on right) before you enter a new search.
Stories
Our Stories website page has also had an upgrade. Simply click on the image to read the story. We hope you find this a more engaging layout.
As you see in each story has been categorised into our Flourishing Church categories and once you are in the story, you are now able to click on any of the categories under the story title to see all related stories.
Events, Training and Key Dates
The Events and Training tab now has a calendar layout with Training opportunities (that run throughout the year appearing at the top of the calendar) Key Dates eg Easter, Christmas etc and BUV Events (both those that are available for registration or invite only). You can search by event category, by keyword, by location or by date.
If you can not find something you are looking for you can use the whole of website search bar at the top left of the home page.
