Baptist Insurance Services has continued to stand alongside Victorian churches, schools, campsites and other organisations with practical, relationship-based support.
The appointment of BIS’ Victorian State Manager, Julianne Smith, has strengthened local engagement, giving churches a dedicated point of contact who understands the needs of Baptist ministries in Victoria. BIS has assisted churches with insurance and protection queries, claims guidance, Certificates of Currency and risk management advice, helping leaders navigate issues such as property damage, maintenance, liability, safeguarding and changing protection requirements.
Through Baptist Mutual, BIS has also continued to provide broad and sustainable protection for church property, activities and people, including claims support and clear communication when complex matters arise. In addition, BIS has provided education, resources and updates to help churches improve resilience, understand their responsibilities and manage emerging risks. This support enables our Victorian Baptist Family to focus more confidently on ministry, mission and care within their communities.
