Together emagazine – Issue 13 Spring, 2026

September 9, 2026

Welcome to our Spring 2026 edition of TOGETHER.

I am pleased to welcome the warmth of spring. I can’t remember a winter quite as cold as it has been this year, despite this, I am encouraged by the stories we continue to see and hear from around our network of Victoria Baptist churches that demonstrate the warm welcome that Jesus calls us to provide to each other and the stranger.

Discipleship is a theme through this issue – I don’t think there is anything better than watching someone emerge from the waters of Baptism, as a step in their discipleship journey. You’ll be inspired as you read multiple stories of baptism and discipling youth, in different contexts and in different ways.

In our feature, you’ll read about our BUV vision – Flourishing on Mission: 500 churches in 50 years. I encourage you to watch our wonderful video that brings our vision to life and gives a great insight into our union. There are plenty of ways that you or your church can get involved a play a part in the story for this generation and beyond.

Can I ask you to continue to pray for one other as we journey together – prayer is the foundation from which God can build his church. You’ll find a prayer calendar here to keep you on track and to give you a sense of our wide and deep union. Thankyou for the part you play.

God bless
