Merging together

During the long lockdown of 2020, Cranbourne Baptist church and Crosspoint Baptist church both lost access to the buildings they had been using for their services. With no venues available in all Cranbourne, neither church a had a place to call home.

Then, out of the blue, God provided a venue in Clyde North at Rivercrest Christian College.

“We give thanks to God for His provision!”

In December 2020 the two churches began to hold combined services in the new facility and in June 2021 both churches voted to merge together under the name Crosspoint Baptist Church.

“This is now effectively a church plant,” Pastor Dave Young says. “As we enter 2022, we have a united group and a wonderful facility in a new suburb. Clyde North is in a growth corridor where many new housing estates see new families arriving every week. We look forward to many exciting opportunities in the future.”
