Rev Kathryn Jensen, the Congregational Church Planter in Donnybrook successfully launched the first public service at Kirrip Community Centre in Wollert on the 26th of June 2022, 18 months after a core team from Mill Park Baptist Church dared to plant a church in the ever-expanding, multiethnic growth corridor of Melbourne’s North (during a pandemic!). Our ‘Launch and Lunch’ was well attended by visiting friends and supporters from our sending church and beyond.

We wrapped up a 5-part series developing missional habits of hope, based on Mike Frost’s book, ‘Surprise the World’. These missional habits of radical generosity, inclusive hospitality, Spirit-led listening, Jesus-centred learning, and apostolic sending now form a new way of being in our neighbourhood.
