Donations Needed for Baptcare Sanctuary Foodbank

Send 2018’s theme was “Mission in the Neighbourhood” and Paul Sparks, a leading voice in the growing Parish movement, shared practical advice and stories of renewal from churches across the USA and the UK, helping conference attendees think about repositioning the local church for faithful neighbourhood presence.

The inaugural Baptcare Cycle for Hope kicked off in Bendigo on Friday, 16^th November. Led by Baptcare’s Chief Executive, Graham Dangerfield, the team of riders challenged themselves to riding 150 kilometres as they seek to raise money and awareness of Baptcare’s work with the vulnerable communities.

NewHope Baptist Church has just launched a new ministry venture with the official opening of a medical centre at 522 Middleborough Road on the church’s Blackburn North campus.

Exciting news!  NewHope medical practice has opened its doors to patients offering the highest quality GP care, pathology, and counselling services.

On the 13^th & 14^th April this year, over thirty people from various multicultural churches in the BUV, gathered together for the Ignite Emerging Leaders Retreat, held at Camp Wilkin.

Light Community Baptist Church recently received a BUV Community Engagement grant to help boost their presence in the neighbourhood.

…what I can understand is Rith’s immeasurable, enduring, and fierce love for her children… and how it must have broken her heart when she was unable to give them every chance to succeed.

Our BUV recently held our Equip Emerging Leaders & Mentors workshop training online. Using the Zoom platform on a variety of devices (computers, tablets, phones, etc.) means our ELMT participants were able to meet together online to reflect and discuss the topic of God-Centred Leadership with Kimberly Smith and Andrew Woff providing input and guiding the discussion.

The new book, So Great a Cloud of Witnesses, tells of this wonderful story of partnership and service together as a Baptist Union and a local church. The Ashburton Baptist Church is a community that knows its story well so it values participation, it supports the mission beyond its local community and it seeks to build on the legacy that it has been given.
